Summer Family Sports

Summer activities at Purbeck Sports Centre

Purbeck Sports Centre, Wareham, has sports for all the family this summer, whatever the weather or budget.

The popular six week of activities returns from Saturday 21 July to Monday 3 September.  There are sports and games for kids, including swimming, gymnastics, trampolining, snorkelling and diving, football, cycling lessons and racket sports.

With the children catered for, there’s a lot for the adults too, including tennis, table tennis, modern gym, exercise classes, swimming, sauna and badminton.  Alternatively, why not relax in AllStars Sports Bar and CafĂ© or watch Sky TV.

Summer brochures can be picked up from the Sports Centre or from the Tourist Information Centres in Wareham and Swanage.  Alternatively, they can be downloaded at www.dorsetforyou.com/purbecksportscentre

“We’re looking forward to six weeks of action-packed fun for all the family whatever the weather and whatever your budget.”

Childcare can be taken care of with the OFSTED-registered Kool 4 Kidz Club which runs every day during the holidays.

For the 5-8s, there are mini sports and games, arts and crafts, soft play, and fun and games in the swimming pool.  8-14s can enjoy badminton, climbing, football, martial arts, tennis, squash, basketball, hockey and swimming.

Fridays are fun days, with football challenges and adventures, Wacky Warriors, It’s a Knockout and athletics.

The club costs £17.50 a day or £9.50 for a half day.  Booking in advance is recommended.
