More Wind Turbines

Appellant: Purbeck Wind Farm LLP 
Location: Land at Masters Pit, East Stoke, Wareham
Description: Erection of 4 wind turbines (windfarm) (up to 125m high to the tip of a rotor blade in a vertical position).  Provision of crane hardstandings, substation building, underground cabling, temporary construction compound, new site access tracks and permanent 89.5m high anemometer mast.  Form new vehicular access.
Appeal Start Date: 01 November 2011

I write to tell you that the applicant has appealed to the Planning Inspectorate against refusal of this planning application. This appeal will be determined following a public inquiry which will commence at the Furzebrook Village Hall, Furzebrook Road, Wareham BH20 5AR on Wednesday 11 April 2012 at 10.00am. The inquiry is scheduled to last ten days and the following nine days, 12 to 25 April 2012 will be held in the Council Chambers, Westport House, Worgret Road, Wareham, BH20 4PP.

All members of the public are welcome at the public inquiry and at the inspectors discretion you will be able to speak. If you do wish to speak you must be present from the start of meeting.

Follow the planning application search link and use the appeal reference number. You can also visit the Council’s offices, Westport House, Worgret Road, Wareham. The offices are open Monday to Thursday, 8:45am – 4:45pm and 4:15pm on Fridays.

The Council has copied all previous comments received about the planning application to the planning inspector and the appellant. This matter is now in the hands of the Planning Inspectorate. The Planning Inspectorate needs to receive your comment by 08 December 2011, please note these will not be acknowledged.

The Planning Inspectorate will copy any new comments you make to the appellant and the Council. It will consider all comments when deciding the appeal.

The Planning Inspectorate has indicated a provisional date for the decision as 13 June 2012.
This will be confirmed within 4 working days of the close of the inquiry. When the Planning Inspectorate has made its decision, it will be published on the Council’s website.
