Torch and Traffic

The torch will pass through Winfith, Wool and Wareham on  Friday 13th.
(Though West Lulworth begins with a "W" it will not pass through here.)
Don't be caught out with journey plans.

Local timings:

Leader of Purbeck District Council, Councillor Gary Suttle, said:

... The Torch arrives in the district at just at after 10.30am when it will be greeted by the people of Winfrith. It continues its journey around the district stopping at Wool, Corfe Castle, Swanage, Stoborough, Wareham, Sandford and Lytchett Minster, before its final stop in Upton at 3.05pm,  where it then crosses to Poole.

As the Torch passes through the towns and villages, there will be some disruption to traffic.  However, roads are being kept open for as long as possible, although some will close an hour before the Torch arrives in Swanage and Wareham.

It is advisable to plan meetings and deliveries to avoid possible delays and anyone travelling by bus should check with the local bus company before setting off. "
